This Privacy Policy explains how Mercy Culture Church Inc., located at 1701 Oakhurst Scenic Dr, Fort Worth, TX 76111 (“Mercy Culture,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, stores, discloses, and protects personal information in connection with the Connect With God mobile application, related websites, features, communications, and services(collectively, the “Service”).

By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

2. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through the Service, including when you create an account, use the app, communicate with us, use prayer or media features, participate in public community features, or request support.

3. Age Restrictions

The Service is not intended for children under 13 years of age, and users under 13 may not create accounts.

We do not knowingly permit account creation by children under 13. If we learn that personal information was collected from a child under 13 in violation of applicable law, we will take appropriate steps to delete that information.

A. Information you provide directly

We may collect information you provide to us, including:

  • phone number,

  • one-time verification details used for account access,

  • spiritual interests, preferences, and onboarding responses,

  • prayer-related preferences or areas where you request prayer support,

  • whether you currently attend church, used to attend church, or do not attend church,

  • profile photo,

  • bio,

  • optional social links, website links, contact details, or other profile details you choose to provide,

  • journal entries and private content you create,

  • public encounters, public posts, comments, and other content you choose to make visible,

  • communications you send to us, including support requests and appeals.

B. Information collected automatically or from your device

Depending on your device settings, permissions, and use of the Service, we may collect:

  • device and app information,

  • account and authentication records,

  • IP address and related security logs,

  • approximate locale-based information such as timezone and language settings,

  • coarse location-related information such as country, state, and city, only where you grant permission or where made available through platform tools,

  • push notification preferences and related device tokens,

  • app activity and operational records reasonably necessary to provide the Service, secure accounts, prevent fraud, troubleshoot, and maintain functionality.

C. Movement-related information

If you choose to use movement-based encounter features and grant the necessary permission, we may collect and store limited summary data associated with that feature, such as:

  • distance,

  • speed,

  • duration.

We do not store precise location history for user profile history as part of this feature based on the current Service design described to users.

D. Private journals and private content

Private journals and other content designated as private are collected and stored to provide the feature to you. They are intended to remain private to you within the Service.

E. Third-party integrations you choose to connect

If you choose to connect Spotify, Apple Music, or similar services, we may receive limited integration-related information such as connection tokens or identifiers necessary to maintain the integration and provide the feature. We do not store your plaintext credentials for those services.

5. Information We Do Not Sell

We do not sell your personal information.

We do not use your personal information for behavioral advertising.

We do not use tracking pixels or similar ad-tech tools for cross-context behavioral advertising based on the current Service design.

6. How We Use Information

We may use personal information to:

  • create, authenticate, and maintain your account,

  • provide and operate the Service,

  • personalize your experience based on the information you provide,

  • deliver relevant spiritual, prayer, and app experiences,

  • provide reminders, notifications, and scheduled content in your locale or timezone,

  • support movement-related features you choose to use,

  • display your public profile and public content according to your settings,

  • provide private journaling and related features,

  • review and moderate public content, including through AI-assisted and manual moderation,

  • allow users to report, block, and manage interactions,

  • provide support and respond to questions, appeals, and technical issues,

  • protect users, enforce our Terms, and maintain community standards,

  • prevent fraud, abuse, spam, misuse, and unauthorized access,

  • comply with legal obligations,

  • maintain records of consent, accepted policy versions, and related compliance information,

  • improve, secure, troubleshoot, and maintain the Service.

7. Sensitive and Faith-Related Information

Because Connect With God is a faith-based application, some information you provide may relate to your spiritual practices, prayer needs, church involvement, or other religious or belief-related information.

We use this information solely to operate, personalize, secure, moderate, support, and improve the Service in accordance with this Privacy Policy. We do not sell such information.

Where required by applicable law, we rely on your consent and other legally permitted bases to process this information.

8. Public Content and Visibility

Some information may be visible to other users if you choose to make it public or if it is public by feature design. This may include:

  • your name,

  • profile photo,

  • short bio,

  • public encounters,

  • optional profile details or links you choose to make visible.

You can manage available privacy settings within the Service. Optional profile details should generally remain private unless you choose to make them visible.

9. AI-Assisted and Manual Moderation

We use AI-assisted moderation and manual moderation for certain public-facing content, including posts, comments, bios, profile images, and similar public or community-facing features, to help maintain safety, respect, and compliance with our rules.

Moderation decisions may result in content review, restriction, removal, account limitation, suspension, or termination.

10. Legal Bases for Processing

Depending on where you are located, we may rely on one or more of the following legal bases:

  • your consent,

  • performance of a contract with you,

  • our legitimate interests in operating, securing, improving, supporting, and enforcing the Service,

Where consent is required, you may withdraw consent as permitted by law, although some features may no longer function.

  • with integrated ministry technology providers, including services provided by Impact Factors, LLC and PrayerPlatform™, where necessary to provide connected prayer wall, media, or related integrated functionality,

  • to protect rights, safety, users, the community, or the Service,

  • in connection with a merger, restructuring, reorganization, sale, or transfer of assets, subject to applicable law.

We do not share personal information with third parties for sale or behavioral advertising.

12. Communications

We may send you:

  • account and authentication messages,

  • verification codes,

  • service-related notices,

  • support communications,

  • reminders and push notifications you choose to enable,

  • updates about the Service, including app features, new functionality, badges, activities, improvements, announcements, and other informational communications related to your use of Connect With God.

Some communications are necessary for account access, security, operation of the Service, or features you use, and you may not be able to opt out of those except by stopping use of the Service or deleting your account.

Where communications are promotional, optional, or not strictly necessary to provide the Service, you may unsubscribe or opt out using the available unsubscribe link, notification settings, device settings, or by contacting support@connectwithgodways.com.

13. Location, Locale, and Timezone

We may use locale, language, timezone, and, where you grant permission, coarse location-related information such as city, state, and country for personalization, reminders, content timing, and user experience purposes.

We do not use this information for advertising or unrelated data mining.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information.

This may include access controls, hashing or similar protection methods for certain stored data, secure authentication flows, and other safeguards appropriate to the Service.

However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, maintain security, enforce agreements, and support account deletion, export, moderation, and compliance processes.

Where technically and legally feasible, account deletion will also trigger deletion of applicable integrated Connect With God and connected PrayerPlatform-related user data associated with your account, subject to limited retention obligations.

The Service may be accessed globally. Your information may be stored or processed in the United States or in other countries where we or our service providers operate.

Where required by applicable law, we take reasonable steps intended to provide appropriate safeguards for international data transfers.

If you are a California resident, you may have rights under California law regarding access, deletion, correction, and other privacy protections, subject to applicable exceptions.
